Phil Murphy is a freelance public affairs consultant and launched as Catalyst Public Affairs in November 2006.

Phil has worked on numerous legislative opportunities and threats affecting Business2Consumer and Business2Business interests including: trade & consumer, communications & e-commerce, legal issues, employment affairs, health & safety, environment, as well as through the EU industry-trade union social dialogue.
Phil was formerly Director of European Affairs at the Construction Confederation between April 2005 and October 2006, joining the Confederation after four years at the Advertising Association where he was Head of European Public Affairs, and Director of Exchange for its European grouping the AdvertisingInformationGroup. Prior to this he worked in Brussels for two and a half years at the European Advertising Standards Alliance.
Phil is also the Director of PubAffairs - the largest UK network for public affairs practitioners - which he founded in January 2002.
